using hint isn't the same as solving. I only click guess when I'm super frustrated and I've given up and sometimes it seems to show something that is impossible to get on your own. Then I save the puzzle so it shows the not finished indication so I can ignore the puzzle for a long time so I forget what the hint is. One thing that hint is good for is to teach you things to look for in other puzzles. A big example is finding where there is NOT a black square. That's the most trickiest thing to find and more often then not, the hint shows a NOT rather than a black.
