This fun nonogram just helped me figure out what MAY be an intentional pun in The Hollow by Agatha Christie. Lady Angkatell keeps burning out the bottoms of tea kettles by setting them on the gas ring and then going back to bed. Besides her surname sounding like a kettle, I believe it derives from that, though I don't know what the Ang part means. It's a Norse-type name - Thorketil is another kettle name.

Actually the "Ang" apparently is corrupted from "os" meaning "god" (any god). An oskettil was a sacrificial cauldron. And Lady Angkatell is always sacrificing kettles. Her kind butler keeps buying new ones and replacing them without saying anything.
