My, my - I wonder why you all thought of me when the title popped up?
It is very apt - take a look at the photo - my (new) wife & I held our very small wedding reception on such a craft! It is pictured in a canal lock.

Looks more like a typewriter to me, but what do I know :-)
When we were young and flexible (i.e., back in the 80's) my wife and I rented a narrowboat and made a round trip from Birmingham to Worcester. The lock-to-distance ratio is higher here than anywhere else in the UK canal system. Now it makes me tired just to think of it.
