Tea in a mug, made from a tea bag ... the purists will cringe, but it looks good to me.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH - not you as well!
Everyone wants to put a hyphen in the middle of my surname - but not you The-No_no-Gr_am - no you go one better & insert an underscore!!!
Seriously - it's not your fault as many people have heard of Robertson - but not many have heard of the surname Robertshaw which originated in Yorkshire. It hasn't travelled that well. When I moved to Essex - nobody had heard of it & so assumed that I had got it wrong. I go for a doctor's appointment - they ask for my surname - I say Robertshaw - they think I have given my full name & then tell me - you don't have an appointment! I say - you looked under Shaw didn't you? I get letters address to Mr J R Shaw, Mr J Robert-Shaw & my wife Julie once got a letter addressed to Mrs Julie Roberta Shaw! Robinson - originated from Son of Robert.

Robertshaw used to be written as Robertshay - a shay meaning a wood. So Robertshaw means Robert from the wood. When giving our surname all of us say "Robertshaw - all one word". So there you have it - the trials & tribulations of having an unusual Yorkshire surname.
John Robertshaw (all one word).
As to the tea - there is a brand in the UK called Yorkshire Tea - it's wonderful - grown in the foothills of the Pennines. As you can see it says on the box "Let's have a proper brew".

I apologize that I frequently can't remember that Robertshaw is one word. I'm old and lazy for not double checking. It will not happen again.
replyWorse, I let it steep until it gets lukewarm before drinking! I don’t know why I like it better that way,
