The Justin Morrow Affair: Entry #1
According the 1967 German almanac (Welt Buche Veroffentlichung, p. 178) November 16th was inexplicably both the warmest and coldest day on record. But that was only the second most noteworthy accomplishment of this particular date. On a small covered wagon led by two donkeys named (rough Swedish translation) Sir Cloppington and Sassafras, Justin Morrow was born.
His birth came as a surprise to his parents, both travelling Swedish folk dancers. His mother, whose name has been lost to history, had wrongly assumed that her nine month long hankering for Cheetos and hummus was simply a byproduct of the stress of many months on the road. And her steady weight gain chalked up the horrible gas that his diet produced. His father was likewise surprised by the sudden birth of his son. He had long assumed that a freak microwave accident (as detailed in Franz Lupchek's seminal work, Defrost... or Death?) had left him sterile.

But as the wagon crossed a cobblestone stone route that zigzagged the German country side, a spectacular bump caused Justin Morrow to be born into this world. It was quick and painless, and he was born with nary a cry from him or his mother. To celebrate what his bewildered parents could only describe as a miracle, the dance troupe pulled to the side of the road and performed a native ritual dance.
While the true name of the dance has no correct English translation, Swedish scholars have settled on "The Holy Crap Its A Baby Frolic" as suitable nomenclature. The afternoon was alive with the sounds of lutes and harps and harmonicas as the dancers jigged and whirred in a festive circle around the swaddled infant. Baby Justin Morrow looked on in wonder at these strange people... and the even stranger world that would one day know his name.

It doesn't know his name yet. I checked. Most aren't even interested, but I'm curious. I hope I'm not to be disappointed.

spoiler
This reminds me of a white rabbit in our neighborhood named Molly, because his owners thought he was female at first. He has a door from his basement home into the fenced yard and he and his female companion spend a lot of time outside. Once he was grabbed by a raccoon and dragged up a tree in the yard, but the raccoon dropped him. He was wounded, so his family took him to the vet, where his sex was discovered. He's fine now and still likes to graze outside year round except when there's snow.
