I had a racing snail once. I surgically removed its shell to make it go faster, but it only made it more sluggish.

My snail raced in the French Grand Prix. His vehicle had an "S" (for snail) painted on the side. When he zoomed down the straight, people would say, "Look at that S-car go!"
