A wonderful secret about hints: they are an excellent way to master new methods of solving puzzles if you compare the answer to the "Methods for Solving."

A word about whether or not to use x's: I love *using* automatic x's because I don't enjoy "counting" and want to get to the logic challenges, but if you enjoy the challenge of *not using* x's, go for it!
