I solved this before, but I must have been lucky in spotting something. I tried again and it is very challenging. Salvor's clue to find a particular square is very useful (column x row).

Great great puzzle. Very difficult and interesting. Before reading the title I couldn't recognize any shape in the resulting picture (I thought of a vulcano or a head of an eagle holding a warm in its beak).
