Good picture, except the poor bird seems to have a broken ankle; it's pointing the wrong way!
A bird's knees are usually hidden underneath its feathers. What look like 'knees' halfway down the visible part of its legs are, in fact, ankles; its 'feet' are just its toes. Birds, like many other animal, stand on tiptoes.
