Not exactly. In English, Corona is a word for things which look like a halo or crown - based on the Latin word for Crown.
The reason it's called coronavirus is because those proteins around the outside of the surface of the virus look like a solar corona, so adding a crown on top of those appendages is exceptionally redundant - even more so than saying "ATM machine" or "PIN number." :)
