maybe im just tired but when i finished this one and read the title i did tear up a bit. you can do it girlie i believe in you. but also she's a pawn . her life is expendable, her only purpose to protect the king. even if she achieves her greatest dream, her dream of crossing the board and becoming a queen, she would still be in service to the king. she would be more powerful than any other piece, yet the king's safety would still be valued above her own. her true dream goes further than becoming queen. what she really wants is liberation, autonomy, freedom; it's so intense that this relationship between her presently and her idealized self borders on idolatry. idk. this too is yuri i guess
