I really enjoyed this one. Even though it’s small, it’s a big challenge to solve it without using any x’s. and the result is a great image.

I frequently see this "solving without using x’s" remark, but I can't seem to get what it means. Googling it just spits out tutorials and papers not containing anything like it. Could you please enlighten me about what that entails? Thanks!

I believe people are referring to only marking in squares that are filled, and not marking the squares that you know to be empty.
