Not sure why you think that's a girl in the image, but you've clearly never seen Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Because if you had, you'd know women not only do the pommel horse, they can do it in a full nun's habit.

Just because it's not currently in the competitive gymnastics doesn't mean no women participate in the pommel horse - just as some women do use the rings even though those are only in male competitive gymnastics. Pommel horse was part of the gymnastics section of our PE class when I was in high school, for everyone.

Also FTR - pommel horse is an event, the sport is gymnastics. It's similar to how track is a sport but the 3000 meter race is a track event.

I don't know why, but I thought it was a woman, too. Or someone doing gymnastics and pointing a gun at the same time, haha.
