Japanese crossword «Zebra»

Not only is the completed image breath-taking, but there is something about the way Slavinella designs her crosswords that is elegant and creates especially interesting challenges. [Confession: This puzzle is too large for my laptop (and eyesight), so I filled in some of the bottom rows with x's, hit "check the crossword" and solved what remained.]
