I don't know if it's just because I solved this while I was tired, but this image was challenging for me.
It's a pretty picture, though I'm not 100% sure what's going on on the left side between rows 20 and 36.

To me, it looks like the skirt is super wide and flaring out, so I believe you're seeing the edge of the skirt on that left side. It does look like it's not quite proportional that way, though.

I agree, the top is a bit unresolved, looks a bit unnatural. Quite interesting, though.
