You keep finding interesting new things, Irina B! This is great! This is the ancient Egyptian hieroglyph for tea.

Sheryl, as much as I love your comments, I think the "spoiler" option would work a lot better if you put the text between the bracketed markers (I've added some spaces, in hopes that my comment will work):
Start: [ s poiler ]
TEXT
End: [ / s poiler ]
replyStart: [ s poiler ]
TEXT
End: [ / s poiler ]

Cathrine, Thank you for the feedback. The site has just added the four options you now see below the comment box: insert a link, insert a photo, insert a spoiler, and whatever a bracketed quotation is. I was quite confused when I first saw other people use the hidden spoiler option. I hate change as much as the next person, but I'm finding I like it more as I use it more. Please let me know if it continues to bother you. :)

Oh, I completely understand why it was confusing. I just thought I should let you know, since I assume that if you go through the effort of using the function you would want it to work :) I definitely think this is a nice addition.

Oooohhhhh! I see! I thought you were addressing something else. Actually, the spoiler (actually an error in this case) *is* in there... :)))

Just adding my comment here to apologise for my mistake. I only realised yesterday, that when you finish a puzzle all the spoilers automatically open. I think that's what I mistook for a mistake here. So yes. I understand that my message must have come across very strange.
replyEgyptian!?!?! Chinese, perhaps! (I mean definitely!)

I wondered the same thing, William, which is why I researched it. The item in the crossword actually shows up on the Internet whether you search under Egyptian or Chinese, but after a second round of research I find that you are most correct! Thank you!

I actually did wonder how they made that symbol with a stylus, but clearly my mind was elsewhere. Perhaps the translation of the Russian word for a Chinese "character" and an Egyptian "hieroglyph" are the same? The translation errors that appear on this site often lead back to Google translate.

So the " s turns the text italic - I wonder what's coming next - coloured text perhaps?
replyI can hide the spoiler by clicking the box with the minus sign, which changes to a plus sign. Maybe there is an option to hide spoilers by default, and I have not got that on.
replyOh! Now that I have clicked one minus box, all the spoilers are hidden!
replyWhile not only Egyptians had Hieroglyphs, this isn't one. This is a character.
It's used mainly by the Chinese and the Japanese.

That being said: very nicely done! Love it! :)
