When you look at the black you actually see a bear holding a honey pot!
Only when I saw the title, the bulb popped up. Nice surprise.

Very good work, ULTASH! Great use of white and black to make it interesting. Not as easy as I thought it would be. Well-suited for the puzzle players who try to beat the clock (not me!!!) Спасибо!
As for the rest of you: welcome to the human race! Searching for the pattern of a face is something we are born with. It's a survival trait. Apparently, you all survived! I'm so glad!
I saw the title (it flashed across my screen as I opened the puzzle (does that happen to everyone?)) and was completely confused! :)))

There is always a fleeting flash as you open each one up - almost subliminal - I look away!

Me too. I get annoyed when I'm looking at the screen when I open a new puzzle. I really wish they could fix that. I emailed the site about it way back when I first started using it, letting them know about it.

I keep reminding myself this is a FREE Russian-hosted site. To be honest, it's a lot more sophisticated than I would have expected... but last time I was in an eastern bloc country was in the 70's when they were still plowing with horses...

I was confused because I was expecting a desk lamp or something like that... not a bulb. But Russian may have no equivalent for "bulb." I've been doing a lot of translating into Russian, then translating the Russian back into English to see if it says what I thought I said--and Russian sort of "thinks" differently. Translating titles must be tricky.
As João said, I saw an ape's face. It added another level of challenge to 'unsee' my brain's assumption. Very good,ULTASH.
replyNice simple pic.
Yes Sheryl, the title displays on the screen before it decides whether to hide it. A simple reversal of this logic would be great!!!

Big quantity of trivial lines. As a picture it have many senses: I have seen lion and owl
replyI actually saw an oil lamp with a handle, but now I can see the monkey and the bulb too :P
replySo unusual and fascinating! But with the title very recognizable
