Kolobok is a Slavic folk tale about a kolob (Russian round fried bread) which (or who) comes to life, and escapes granny, grandpa, and various animals who intend to eat it. Kolobok sings, "I got away from Grandmother, I got away from Grandfather, and I will certainly get away from you!" A fox distracts Kolobok by praising his singing...and eats him.

Great.
I presume this tale has a very old origin, the same as "Le corbeau et le renard" where a fox tricks a crow praising his singing to steal the cheese he was holding in its beak.
