No, only by guessing, which ruins the point.
Actually, at a second attempt, it is. Concentrate on the bottom few rows of the picture to start with.
Definitely doable, (first half dozen moves are harder) and results in a stunningly beautiful image considering the relatively small size. Thank you Tverianka.
Nice one, pretty much until the end I was clueless to what it is.
Still concentrating on the bottom few rows. Have 9 blacks in total and thought I had a break in the bottom row, but wrongly so. There is enough room to fit everything right of (8,15). Remains impossible one for me
Very difficult puzzle for the size and a beautiful reward as a picture! Solved it without hints or guessing!
Beginning is hard to break into, but then it gets rather simple
I agree, it is doable without hints and guessing, and the result is nice :)
Very, very good puzzle! Did it without guessing or tips.
Brilliant puzzle which falls out once you find the way in. Tverianka, well done, keep them coming!
Stuck a lot in the beginning.
I agree it was hard in the beginning but after figuring out the rest turn simple. This puzzle is great. Good one.
I loved how the picture suddenly appeared at the end.
This one was very hard, but not impossible. It was also very rewarding: once I put the final square in, the pic finally appeared, and it was very beautiful!
This one took me two attempts. At first I thought it couldn't be done but seeing the comments gave me confidence to keep at it. It is solvable with logic, no guessing. The beginning goes very slowly and after you get a ways in then it falls together quickly. The hint to focus on the bottom rows was helpful getting started. The technique used on the bottom rows is also useful for a column near the left.
Done in 0:5:29 with no guessing. Not sure what the confusion is. Very beautiful bird.
Easy. Done in 1:54.
Difficult start, then easy.
Wow, great puzzle! As others have said, the beginning is slow-going. Started with 2nd row up from the bottom, and that helped. The final picture was a surprise - worth it!
Tough one :), but doable
Very well done! Rather difficult at the start, but do-able without guessing. And the picture is really nice!
Difficult beginning, good reward in the end.
Difficult at the beginning, great picture, amazing puzzle.
IS GOOD
gar nicht so einfach und das Ergebnis ist überraschend hübsch
Difficult, but worth it.
as beginner I had to use the check function a few times. picture is worth it though, very lovely!
Lovely!
Gorgeous!
Nice, and challenging enough to push my limits and force me to learn a new technique. Congrats on it!
I really don't understand why so many people struggle with this one... Beautiful picture.
Tough nut to crack, especially in the beginning. Definitely doable.
Hint: For me the trick was solving the last row. I had to apply two different rules together to ensure that the filled squares are actually correct.

I understand that puzzles that were once difficult became much easier with experience. And challenges I could have met happily when healthy may be too frustrating when sick. It's not a contest. There's no shame in using hints or cheating if that's what you need to do to enjoy yourself. Why am I writing this? No one will read it. Haha!

I agree.
I just reach a limit of how hard I want to work. Hints help you learn - or remember what you ought to know.

It's brilliant. I wish I could write something like that, instead of stealing it from Leonard Cohen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8fT7rnRotY

very hard but very beautiful.
I love Tverianka's puzzles so much I do at least one a day, when I can. I've noticed a little of my cognitive function reappearing. I think... ;) Thank you, Tverianka!
start at the 2nd to last row, and then go to the bottom one, then the puzzle just flows into figure
I had no idea what it was until ~5 squares were left. Neat picture
I did it straight away with no problems and it's lovely. Thank you :-)
GORGEOUS puzzle! I can see why it's the top rated small black and white puzzle!
If you're having trouble solving this, pay attention to the location of the x's. That's the key. This is a great puzzle for learning that method. I love this puzzle.
Lovely image
Beautiful picture
I found other puzzles more difficult, but not more beautiful.
nice
Not sure why people struggled with this - easily done in under 10 minutes. Good picture though
Nice ... It wasn't hard but I might have guessed the first move and got it right !!!
Really Nice. Thanks.
Awesome
Great puzzle - I had to work at it.
Great little puzzle! with no hints and just logic it took me under 10 mins. I've found that one useful technique once you're getting stuck is to look at the corners - if you have a strip of a few tiles along an edge, you can start at the corner and say "is it possible for this strip of tiles to begin in the corner square?" if they can't, then you can put a X in the corner square. Then move outwards - always being careful about what happens in the adjacent rows. Sometimes this technique can put you on the right track

tough at the beginning, the result is absolutely beautiful !
I agree with all the comments. Tough to start and requires more logic skills than we are used to using on these small puzzles. Thanks for the break in the really easy stuff!
Almost easy, just one line to solve, the rest follows. Cute pic.
As said, the beginning was a bit tricky for new as well... After that, not really difficult anymore though. Great puzzle, thank you!
This one went step by step for me. I also didn’t know what it was until the very end. Beautiful! Thanks
Hah, hah! I've never seen so many comments on a puzzle. I didn't find this one particularly hard (yes, I started from the bottom, as it's the first area I check out on any puzzle), and I think this is a beautiful picture. Once again Tverianka doesn't disappoint.
Very nice! I didn't find it challenging, but I couldn't figure out the image until the end when my last few squares connected the image.
